Jacques Herbin was founded in Paris during King Louis XIV’s rule. Their inks are non-toxic and pH neutral. Additionally, these inks purportedly use all natural dyes. What this means is that these inks will be safe to use even in vintage pens! They also have a Scented Ink line, which I would like to try in the future.

Jacques Herbin Violette Pensée purple fountain pen ink is elegantly labeled and has an integrated pen rest. Jacques Herbin ink is non-toxic and pH neutral, water based, flows smoothly, and uses all natural dyes.

Violette pensée (Pensive violet): this color is also a flower from the very same name. Since Napoleon I, French pupils used violet ink color, the least expensive color. This ink was made of methyl-violet, also used to disinfect wounds.
